There are several levels of access control available in the online COE.
1. Site level access - this can be set to either Open or Closed by an administrator. This setting affects all groups within the school. By default, site access is set to Open.
2. Classroom level access - this is set by teachers for each group. By default, access is closed and teachers must open access when they are ready to have students work. It is possible to open access for a specified length of time (recommended) or unrestrict access and allow students to work at any time.
3. On-demand access - since students should not have access to their on-demand items before the on-demand session, the titles for these tasks or prompts are hidden from the student until the teacher opens access. This is a separate process from opening the group access.
