OSPI maintains a Moodle server where teachers are encouraged to share ideas about the COE. You will need to create an account in order to log in to the Moodle.
The Moodle serves two main functions:
- Offer courses for the Reading and Writing COEs in instructional planning, developing passages, tasks, and prompts, and sharing student work for the creation of a Reading and Writing COE scoring bank. All “courses” that include submitting materials to OSPI for review and revision will be eligible for clock hours.
- Provide up to date information on policy changes in the content areas, announcements of training webinars, and an ever-growing list of resources from the state and the nation.
This is the place where teachers are encouraged to share passages, tasks and prompts that they have developed for classroom use and have them vetted for possible use in future inclusion banks.
The Moodle is an ever-expanding source of information and resources, so be sure to check it out often!
